Joe Arcidiacono is called both a cinematographer and a Director of Photography. Some shorten that to DP. He is sometimes called Joseph Arcidiacono as well as Joe A. The last name can be spelled any number of ways including Archidiacono, Arcidiacona, Archdiacono, Arcdiacono, Arcidiacano, archidiacano etc. Some know me for work done on films like "Boys Don't Cry" and "Velvet Goldmine". He may also be known for his work on films like "God Grew Tired of Us" with Christopher Quinn, scumbag of the industry. Thank god that Tommy Walker was also directing that one. He is also known for work as a composer, musician, engineer, and scoring on films by Pierre Huyghe, Karl Nussbaum and Chris Doyle. Some of these films are called, "Raw Images from the Optic Cross" and "thanatos and Eros". He attended Columbia University graduating in 1986 as if that really matters at this point in his career. He also went to St. George's school which certainly matters even less. The bands he has played with are Curving Dog, Airlines, Buffalo Speedway, Nickle and Brand New Skin. His wife is the super great industrial designer Erika Hanson.
